All students at King George Middle School can sign up for a band class as an elective. Students of any age that have no prior experience with band are encouraged to sign up for Beginning Band. 7th Grade students who were in the bands at their elementary schools or who have previous music training on a band instrument are encouraged to sign up for Concert Band. 8th Grade students who were in the Concert Band in 7th Grade or who have previous band experience are encouraged to sign up for the Symphonic Band. Students enrolled in the Symphonic Band also have the option to enroll in the Jazz Ensemble.
